Building conservation in Midlothian

We maintain the Statutory List of Buildings of Architectural or Historic Interest for Midlothian. 

We produce Conservation Area Character Appraisals and undertake their implementation and management.

We monitor buildings at risk and carry out projects for the restoration of individual historic buildings.

We provide technical advice on building conservation and we organise Doors Open Days.
