Midlothian Local Employability Partnership Employability Funding – (No One left Behind)

The Local Employability Partnership (LEP), Employability Funding Midlothian is a Scottish Government fund delivered in partnership with Midlothian Council. It supports employability programmess that help Midlothian people overcome employment barriers.

Who can apply?

Applications are welcome from community groups, charities, social enterprises, public sector bodies and private employability providers who can provide employability support in Midlothian. The applicants must be able to demonstrate that they have suitable delivery, monitoring, and evaluation processes in place. Community groups or charities must be constituted and have a bank account; alternative governance documentation will be accepted for public or private sector. You must have prior experience of providing employability support to these age groups.

How can I apply?

Organisation must complete the EOI by 23:59 on 7 November 2025, late applications will not be considered. Please read through the guidance document in line with your EOI.

The EOI Grant Application Panel will assess the EOIs, and those organisations selected to apply for Grants Round 2 will receive an invite by 19 November 2025. Only applicants who have applied at the EOI stage will be invited to apply for Grants Round 2. 

Round 2 applications will require to be submitted in December for the grants scoring panel to assess in early January 2026.

We will notify all organisations if their application does not go forward to Grants Round 2.

Place-Based Investment Programme (PBIP)

The Place Based Investment Programme (PBIP) is a Scottish Government capital grant fund delivered in partnership with Midlothian Council. It supports community-led capital projects that align with local Neighbourhood Plans, Place Plans, community engagement activity or through other community led regeneration work. Midlothian Council’s allocation for 2025/2026 will be £291,276.  Applications closed on 19 September 2025

Midlothian Council Small Grant Fund

We regret that as part of its budget savings, Midlothian Council has withdrawn its small grant funding programme. Unfortunately, as a result, we can no longer consider applications.
