Season ticket - terms and conditions
The service
- These terms and conditions relate to the chargeable annual parking season ticket for use at Vogrie Country Park.
- Purchase of a season ticket allows a designated vehicle to park in Vogrie Country Park car park without the need to pay the day rate for parking on each individual visit.
Parking
- The season ticket is valid Monday to Sunday inclusive at any time during Vogrie Country Park’s advertised opening hours.
- Season tickets are for use in Vogrie Country Park car park only.
- Season tickets do not guarantee a parking space or provide any exemptions from any parking regulations in place.
- Season tickets are only valid for the vehicle(s) noted on the application form.
- Midlothian Council accept no liability whatsoever in respect of the theft, loss or damage to any vehicle or its contents in the Vogrie Country Park car park. Nor will it accept any such liability in respect of delay caused by the malfunction of any automatic barrier or other equipment.
Registration and payment
- A season ticket cost £79.00.
- Up to 2 vehicles can be registered to the same postal address.
- Season tickets are valid for one year. No reminders will be sent for renewal.
- We will email you when your season ticket is active. Until then, it will be necessary for you to pay the daily parking charge. In normal circumstances we expect to take up to 3 working days to process your application.
- Your vehicle registration will be recorded in the Automatic Number Plate Recognition barrier administration system. No physical pass, ticket or permit will be issued.
Change of details
If you change any vehicle assigned to a season ticket, you must let us know to avoid any payment of the day rate parking charge:
- You will need the reference number provided at the time of application.
- No change will be made to your initial ticket expiry date.
- Only one change will be accepted in any 12 month period.

Refunds and cancellations
To cancel your parking season ticket:
- You will need the reference number provided at the time of application.
- If you cancel within 14 days of application you will receive a full refund.
- If you cancel after 14 days of registration, the refund will be pro-rate payment based on how many full months are left on your season ticket.
- If you have 2 vehicles registered to your season ticket, both will be cancelled.

Other
- During large scale events within Vogrie Country Park, the barrier may be temporarily set in the "open" position to allow effective traffic management of high numbers of vehicles. No discount of a parking season ticket will be applicable for this reason.
- Midlothian Council expressly reserves the right to withdraw vehicle access to Vogrie Country Park without notice in the event of adverse weather conditions or industrial action. No discount or refund of a parking season ticket will be applicable in the event of the loss of service for these reasons.
- If it is necessary to withdraw access to Vogrie Country Park in the event of war or other emergency, civil commotion, riot or other circumstances outwith Midlothian Council’s control a pro-rate refund will be applied based on the number of full months left on your season ticket.
Use of your data
We will use the email address you give to send you an:
- E-receipt for the payment made.
- Email advising that your initial request and/or any change to your details has been processed and your annual Season Ticket is active.
- Email advising of any change to this service.
- We will use the vehicle registration number provided at the time of application to manage entry and exit to the car park via the barrier and Automatic Number Plate Recognition system. Your vehicle registration number/s will be retained for the 12-month validity of your Season Ticket.
