Housing Land Audit
The Housing Land Audit is done on an annual basis by us.
It establishes the availability of effective housing land at the time of production, and for the next 5 years and beyond.
The audit also indicates the progress of sites through the planning process, house completions and a programme for development to ensure that there is always enough effective housing land for at least 5 years.
Audits are produced in consultation with the housebuilders, their representative body, Homes for Scotland, as well as infrastructure providers.
The sites that make up the housing land supply are listed in the Main Schedule of the audit. You can view these on the interactive map below, alongside sites that are safeguarded for future housing use:
The latest audit is Housing Land Audit 2018, which covers the financial year from 31 March 2017 to 1 April 2018.
