Calculating building warrant fees
The fee required for each building warrant application or amendment is set nationally by the Scottish Government. It is calculated on a sliding scale depending on the estimated cost of the work.
Calculating the fee
To calculate the fee for your building warrant application or amendment, you need an accurate estimate of the total cost of the work.
Once you have a total estimated cost for the work, you can obtain the fee for the building warrant application or amendment from the fee table.
We cannot process your application until you have paid the correct fee.
Fees for work for disabled occupants
There is no fee if a building warrant application is for altering or extending a dwelling to make it more suitable for a disabled occupant. It is important to note that the work must be solely for the benefit of the disabled occupant.
