Our website has received a prestigious new rating and is one of the top 5 climbers of local authority websites in Scotland.
That's according to SOCITM (the Society of IT Managers) who today (1 March) announced their annual results following rigorous reviews of all 433 local authority websites across the United Kingdom.
Midlothian Council received a prestigious SOCITM 3-star rating.
The 14th annual SOCITM survey focussed on "Top Tasks" which are the main reasons that customers visit council websites, for example commenting on a planning application and finding school term dates. The review also looked at how easy it is for residents to carry out these top tasks.
Midlothian was also listed as an example of good practice in 'Finding out about getting help at home' and 'Finding out about school term dates'.
