Report an abandoned vehicle

We will only investigate a vehicle if it:

• is burnt out
• has substantial damage and is not roadworthy
• is full of waste
• is not resting directly on the ground (e.g. it is on bricks or axel stands)

Report an abandoned vehicle

We cannot take any action on vehicles, including vans and caravans, parked on private land if the landowner objects. 

Untaxed vehicles

• If a vehicle is untaxed - please report this to the DVLA.

Caravans

Caravans are not required to display number plates. They can be parked for lengthy periods of time if they are:

• not causing an obstruction
• facing the direction of traffic
• lit at night.
