Winter on Midlothian roads

Parking restrictions

You can help during severe weather by parking so access is clear for emergency service vehicles.

"No parking" cones will be placed along specific lengths on the streets listed below, but only when prolonged, heavy snow is forecast.

Police have powers to remove vehicles parked on the coned areas.

If snow is piled up at the side of the road and you can’t get your car out we cannot dig out individual vehicles.  If possible, park your car off the road to allow gritters and snow ploughs to pass.
