Your green bin is for recycling clean paper and card

Place all items directly into your bin – do not use plastic bags. Please flatten boxes to save space in your bin.

  • Newspapers
  • Magazines
  • Office paper
  • Telephone directories 
  • Brochures and catalogues
  • Leaflets
  • Envelopes (including window envelopes)
  • Shredded paper (please enclose this in a paper envelope, paper bag or cardboard box)

Cardboard

  • Cereal boxes
  • Cardboard packaging
  • Large brown cardboard boxes (once flattened)
  • Cardboard tubes

Should go in your grey bin:

  • Food contaminated packaging such as pizza boxes 
  • Padded envelopes 
  • Disposable coffee cups 
  • Used tissues or kitchen towel 
  • Hard plastic items (e.g. coat-hangers, toys, plant pots)

Should go in your blue bin:

  • Cans
  • Plastics
  • Cartons (such as Tetra pack cartons)

Should go in your food caddy:

  • Food waste

Should go in your glass recycling box:

  • Glass bottles and jars 

Should go into brown bin

  • Garden waste 

Should go to a recycling centre:

  • Batteries and vapes
  • Electrical items
