Waste service updates

Update on Tuesday 3 February

  • All bins are being collected as normal and we have caught up with missed grey, blue and food waste bins. If we missed your glass collections last week, please put your box back out on your scheduled collection date.

Update on Friday 30 January

  • If we missed your glass collection this week, apologies and please put your glass back out on your next scheduled collection day. We have managed to catch up with all missed blue and grey bins from last week and emptied all blue, grey and food bins scheduled for collection this week. Many thanks for your patience.

Many thanks for your patience.

Changes to your kerbside recycling collection services from March 2026

From March 2026 we are changing how we collect your recycling:

  1. You will have a NEW green bin for paper, card and cardboard
  2. Your blue bin will only be for plastic bottles, tubs and trays, steel and aluminium cans, and cartons.
  3. There may be a change to the day we collect your blue, green and grey bins. These will be emptied on a three-weekly cycle.

Delivery of your new Green bin

  • Green bins will be delivered between mid-January and the end of February 2026.
  • Green bins will be delivered to the boundary of residential properties. In the case of an assisted pullout service, bins will be delivered directly to where they are stored.
  • You will receive a letter notifying you of the change of service. If your collection day changes, we will let you know.
  • For some properties, alternative shared recycling facilities will be provided, and you will be contacted separately regarding these.
  • Existing communal recycling bins will be converted to collect either paper and card or plastics, cans and cartons.
