Black bags

If you have a grey bin or communal waste bin, we do not provide you with black bags. Local shops sell bin bags and pedal bin liners.

A few rural properties still have their rubbish collected in black bags. Recycling is collected in clear bags.

We collect both kinds of bag at the same time, once a week. Leave them at the boundary of your property (where it meets the pavement, footpath or road) by 06:30 on your collection day.

Recycling

Place materials for recycling into 2 different bags.

Clear bag for:

• paper
• cardboard
• plastic bottles
• tins and cans
• aerosol cans
• plastic pots
• tubs
• punnets and trays
• cartons
• foil

Separate clear bag for:

• glass bottles and jars only
